Personal and channel digests

The scheduled Slack DMs and channel summaries of open pull requests.

Angada sends two different kinds of Slack message: one that updates live as a single PR changes (the living card), and once-a-day summaries — the digests on this page. Team Reports are the third scheduled summary, scoped by author.

Personal digest

A Personal digest is a private Slack DM listing PRs where you personally have a stake and there's still something to do: PRs you authored that are still open, and PRs waiting on your review.

You configure it yourself in your notification preferences: turn it on, pick the delivery time and your timezone. If you have nothing pending, you don't get a DM that day — see Why did my digest not post today?

Channel digest

A Channel digest covers every PR in the repos routed to a given Slack channel, regardless of which Report the author belongs to. It's auto-created the moment any repo is routed to that channel — no setup required — and posts once a day (09:00 UTC by default). An admin can turn it off or reschedule it per channel.

A digest in Slack

A posted digest with bucketed PRs and per-item flags.

Reading a digest

Whichever digest you're looking at, the layout is the same: pull requests grouped under their lifecycle stateNeeds Review, Ready to Merge, and Awaiting Author, in that order. Each line links straight to the PR on GitHub.

A listed PR may also carry one of the flags that don't change its bucket — stale, draft, CI status, or mergeable state. A digest with no PRs to show in a section omits that section; a Personal digest with nothing pending doesn't post at all that day.
